About Simon
Simon presents the much-loved Worship at Home show on Premier Christian Radio every Sunday morning. His first radio appearance on Premier, in Autumn 2018, was The Heart of Fashion, an eight-part series based on his 2016 book, The Character of Fashion, which asked the question “If God was boss, how would He run this industry?’ and explored key issues experienced by Simon during 35 years working for the British Fashion Council, with responsibility for running London Fashion Week, latterly as Chief Operating Officer.
Simon has spoken on a wide range of platforms, from New Wine to local church outreach events, about his experiences through a long career in a challenging workplace, particularly exploring issues around image & identity and what compassion at work looks like.
Simon is a worship leader at his home church in Surrey. His first book, Riding the Tide, was published in 2013, and explores the everyday relevance of fifteen Psalms – looking at them as much as journals of the joys and struggles of everyday life, as the wonderfully honest songs and prayers that they are.
In 2018, Simon took his love of the Psalms to another level, publishing PsalmSongs – a multi-media exploration of ten of the Psalms covered in ‘Riding the Tide’, including original studio audio recordings, video interviews covering key issues, and a study guide for use by small groups or individuals. A ‘PsalmSongs Live’ event was successfully trialled in 2018.
Other books by Simon include: In the Footsteps of the King – a year in Luke’s Gospel and Face2Face – the lives of 21 Bible heroes.
Simon is married with two adult children, a growing collection of grandchildren, and enjoys walking the hills, gardening and working out whodunnit in TV detective series.
